Through the ugly magic of egrep, I have determined the longest words made by alternating hands on a QWERTY keyboard:

12 authenticity
11 shantytowns
11 proficiency
11 entitlement
11 enchantment
10 shantytown
10 protozoans
10 proficient
10 antisocial
9 tutorials

Now that that's done, I can get on with my life. Time to do some real work.

And here I sit, typing them out, myself.

:)

Technically, you can make longer words with the apostrophe.

Have at it.

13 entitlement's
13 enchantment's
12 authenticity
11 tormentor's
11 shantytowns
11 proficiency
11 firmament's
11 entitlement
11 endowment's
11 enchantment
11 dyspepsia's
11 cockfight's
11 amendment's
10 shantytown
10 protozoans
10 proficient
10 penchant's
10 ornament's
10 neurosis's
10 neuritis's
10 mandible's
10 handmaid's
10 antisocial

Is it shantytowns' or shantytowns's? ;)

I can even quickly switch to Dvorak

14 unpremeditated
14 prevaricator's
14 overemphasizes
14 overemphasized
13 unimaginative
13 tutankhamen's
13 rehabilitates
13 rehabilitated
13 provocatively
13 prohibitively
13 profitability
13 primogeniture
13 overemphasize
13 morphological
13 monocotyledon
13 mohorovicic's
13 metamorphosis
13 metamorphoses
13 metamorphosed
13 inevitability
13 ineligibility
13 improbability
13 implacability

Impressive. I was going to ask about that but I thought it would be stupid to do so. Instead I'll ask if you can do that with Chinese :-)

I'm afraid I'm of the ASCII mindset. None of this fancy UTF-8 gobbledegook.

I was trying find words with an alternating pattern for quick entry.

That's quite genius and fun to type out!
